About Us

Oboban is the official online public information center managed by the Public Affairs Department of Nuclear Power Ghana (NPG).

The name Oboban — meaning “stronghold” or “fortress” in the local Ghanaian tradition — reflects our commitment to being a trusted, reliable, and enduring source of knowledge for the communities closest to Ghana’s nuclear energy journey. Established as part of a broader stakeholder engagement framework aligned with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) infrastructure development milestones, Oboban exists to bridge the gap between nuclear energy institutions and the people they serve. We are more than an information portal — we are a community resource, a classroom tool, and a transparent window into Ghana’s peaceful nuclear future.
